Type sizing
TYPE SIZING
We use a 1.25 scaling system to determine type sizes across all formats. We then round to the nearest 2px.
A typographic scale means that no matter what medium we’re designing in, all of our type scale relationships will be consistent with each other.
Each typographic scale begins with determining a baseline copy size. As
a general rule, aim for larger (16-20px) for digital and smaller (10-14px) for print.
The table below gives an indication of resulting typesizes against various baseline body sizes. Hover over each to see the results.
